(The Moon by Night) is much love coming from Baghdad and Bilad al-Sham (the Levant),where the melodies of love and its anguish are performed alongside songs of longing and yearning, stressing the perpetuity of this heritage with its resounding echo.They were sung for the first time – songs from Iraq by Nazim al-Ghazali, Afifa Iskandar, and others who have introduced a new style of singing the qudoud (traditional music from Aleppo), as well as songs by Sabah Fakhri, in addition to songs by Zakiyah Hamdan and Asmahan.
